The Copa Truck has its champions, ISO 9001 is recertified and two locomotives come home

With real enthusiasm and sporting spirit, the official Copa Truck prize-giving took place on Friday the 24th, bringing together colleagues from different areas around friendly competition, camaraderie and a shared love of football.

Beyond the results, the Copa Truck keeps establishing itself as an activity that strengthens integration, encourages respect and good fellowship, and shows that big challenges also get built outside the workshop.

Congratulations to our champions, and thank you to everyone who took part and made another edition of this championship possible. It is already becoming part of who we are as an organization.

On Monday 20 July a new audit of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System was successfully completed, reaffirming our commitment to continual improvement and to meeting international standards.

This important result is the fruit of intense documentary, administrative and operational work carried out throughout the year, in which every area of the organization played an essential part. From Management to the Warehouse, taking in Reliability, Production, People Management and Administration, collective commitment was the key to reaching this new milestone.

Because quality is not the responsibility of one particular area; it is the result of the daily commitment of the whole organization.

More than a certification, ISO 9001 represents a way of working: with clear processes, accountability, traceability and a constant drive to deliver excellent service to our customers.

We are grateful for the commitment and dedication of everyone who made this important achievement possible. The invitation now is to keep moving forward together and to keep strengthening a culture of quality that lets us grow with the same confidence and professionalism that define us.

Some projects are measured in tons, working hours or precision maneuvers. Others carry their real weight in what they represent. A few weeks ago, Truck Energy brought two historic locomotives back onto its premises, in an operation that demanded planning, coordination and serious teamwork across different areas.

Every locomotive is part of our country's rail history. They are silent witnesses to industrial development, to the effort of thousands of workers, and to a culture that for generations connected people, cities and opportunities.

Preserving them is, in a way, preserving our identity too.

This initiative is not only about rescuing rail heritage, then, but about remembering where we come from so we can see more clearly where we want to go. In a company devoted to rail engineering, maintenance and reliability, understanding our history is key to building our future.

It is worth noting that this project was possible thanks to the commitment and collaboration of everyone who took part in each stage of the move and installation, proving once again that great achievements are always the result of collective work.

These locomotives now become part of our premises as a permanent symbol. They do not only represent the past of the Chilean railway; they also represent the future we want to build: an organization that honors its craft, learns from its history and keeps alive the pride of being railroaders.

Because preserving our identity is also a way of driving the future.

On Friday 24 July the health screening day held at our premises was successfully completed, run by the CECOSF de Escuadrón community health center. It covered the measurement of various body indices, blood samples for later analysis and flu vaccination for any member of staff who wanted it. Once the results are ready they will be reported confidentially to each participant. Thank you to all staff and to the coordinators who made it possible for everything to run calmly and in an orderly way.

Last Thursday also saw the start of a series of master talks under the banner Preservando Identidad (Preserving Identity), whose purpose is to rescue the specialist heritage of rail knowledge and to level up and train the newer generations. On this occasion Luis Ormeño, technical manager, got the project underway with his talk on circuit analysis for D31 motors. This series is part of an even more ambitious project: building an internal documentation platform available to the whole organization.
