Maintenance engineering and asset reliability
Repairing well is not enough if the maintenance strategy is still the one that produced the failure. Maintenance engineering is the work of redesigning that strategy on evidence.

Maintenance engineering with engineering judgment
Many operations run inherited maintenance plans: the work gets done because it has always been done that way. The problem is that the operation changed, with more load, more hours and a different environment, and the plan did not.
Our job is to reorder that plan by real criticality and impact on availability: which assets justify continuous monitoring, which need a preventive routine, and which can run to failure without consequence. Not everything weighs the same, and treating everything the same is expensive in both directions.
Confiabilidad 360° is the framework we use: measure, interpret, prioritize, act and protect. It was not born in a meeting room, but out of interpreting thousands of operating hours and hundreds of real failures on rail assets working in some of the most demanding conditions in South America.
Scope
What the service includes
Criticality analysis
Classification of assets by their impact on the operation, so the maintenance effort goes where it matters.
Per-asset strategy
Definition of the right policy for each machine: predictive, preventive or planned corrective.
Root cause analysis
Investigation of repeat failures down to the physical and organizational cause behind them.
Plans and procedures
Documented routines, frequencies and scopes that the customer's own maintenance team can carry out.
Reliability indicators
Definition and tracking of the indicators that show whether availability is genuinely improving.
Technical support
Continuous support from our engineering team to sustain the plan and adjust it when the operation changes.
How we work
The process, step by step
- 01
Survey
Asset inventory, failure history and current practice.
- 02
Prioritization
Criticality analysis and identification of the few assets that govern the rest.
- 03
Design
Strategy and plan per asset, with defined frequencies and scopes.
- 04
Measurement
Indicators that verify whether availability actually improved.
When it applies
Signs that you need this service
- The maintenance plan is inherited and nobody knows why it is the way it is
- The same failures repeat after being worked on
- The maintenance budget grows and availability does not
- There is no criterion for deciding which asset gets attention first
- There are no indicators showing whether the strategy is working
- The operation changed but the plan is the same as years ago

Frequently asked questions
What is Confiabilidad 360°?
It is the engineering framework Truck Energy developed to manage the health of critical assets in five stages: we measure the real condition, we interpret the data through to a diagnosis, we prioritize by criticality and impact, we act with repair and engineering, and we protect with condition monitoring so the failure does not return.
Do you work with the customer's in-house maintenance team?
Yes. The plan is designed for the customer's own team to carry out, with documented procedures and frequencies. Our role is to contribute the engineering judgment and to support, not to replace the in-house team.
Is it useful if we already have a maintenance plan?
The starting point is almost always an existing plan. The work is then to test it against real criticality and failure history, and to adjust where it is overspending and where it is falling short.
How is the result measured?
With availability and reliability indicators defined at the outset, so there is a baseline to compare against. If the baseline is not defined at the start, there is no honest way to demonstrate the improvement afterwards.
