Generators, alternators and industrial electric motors share one weak point: the insulation system. We work on the complete machine, electrical and mechanical, so it goes back into service with margin rather than at the limit.

Rotating electrical equipment with engineering judgment
Rotating equipment does not fail all at once. It degrades: the insulation loses its properties, the rotor goes out of balance, the bearings accumulate wear. By the time it finally stops, it stops at the worst possible moment.
Our job is to intervene before that point and, once it has happened, to return the equipment to service with its condition documented. We apply the same standard we use on rail assets, where the margin for error is minimal, to generators and industrial plant motors.
We serve rail, mining, port and industrial operations throughout Chile, from our plant in Coronel.

What the service includes
Generators and alternators
Repair of locomotive and plant generators and alternators, covering the insulation system and the rotating assembly.
Industrial electric motors
Repair of plant electric motors: windings, insulation, bearings and mechanical assembly.
Rewinding
Complete replacement of windings, respecting the thermal class and the electrical characteristics of the original equipment.
VPI impregnation
Vacuum pressure impregnation to consolidate the winding and increase its thermal and mechanical strength and its resistance to moisture.
Dynamic balancing
Correction of rotor imbalance, a frequent root cause of vibration and premature bearing failure.
Acceptance testing
Insulation resistance, polarization index, hi-pot and no-load testing, with the values on record.

Frequently asked questions
Which rotating electrical equipment do you repair?
Traction motors, locomotive generators and alternators, and industrial plant electric motors. Our origin is the rail industry, but the same standard applies to rotating assets in mining, ports and industry.
What is the VPI process and why does it matter?
VPI stands for vacuum pressure impregnation: the winding is placed under vacuum and then under pressure with resin, so the resin penetrates the insulation system completely. The result is a consolidated winding with better thermal and mechanical strength and far less sensitivity to moisture and contamination.
Do you also do maintenance, not just repair?
Yes. Repair is the most common entry point, but the goal is to move from reactive to predictive maintenance with condition monitoring and a reliability plan. That is the point of the Confiabilidad 360° model.
Do you work outside the Biobío Region?
Yes. We work with operations throughout Chile. The workshop is in Coronel and we also provide preventive maintenance services on site.
