Not every asset can travel to the workshop. Industrial preventive maintenance takes the workshop standard to the plant: inspection, testing and work carried out on the installed machine.

Industrial preventive maintenance with engineering judgment

The aim is to hold the equipment's condition between major overhauls. Dirt, moisture, loose connections and unlubricated bearings account for an enormous share of electrical failures, and all of them can be tackled in the plant.

We schedule the work inside the operation's maintenance windows, with the scope agreed beforehand so the shutdown lasts exactly as long as it should.

We cover operations throughout the country from our base in Coronel, with the same engineering judgment we apply to rail assets.

On-site inspection

Review of the installed machine, its connections, its mounting and its operating environment.

Cleaning and reconditioning

Removal of contamination and dust from the winding and the ventilation system, a frequent cause of overheating.

On-site testing

Electrical and thermal measurements on the installed machine, with no need to move it.

Bearings and lubrication

Verification of bearing condition and of the lubrication plan, correcting whatever needs it.

Alignment and mounting

Review of alignment and fixing: a small misalignment destroys bearings in very little time.

Condition report

A record of the state found, the work performed and the recommendations for the next window.

Frequently asked questions

Do you provide on-site service outside the Biobío Region?

Yes. Our base is in Coronel and we serve operations throughout Chile. Scope and logistics are agreed case by case, according to the size of the job.

Can maintenance be done without shutting the plant down?

Part of it, yes: thermographic inspection and vibration analysis are done with the equipment running. Electrical testing and physical work require the machine stopped and de-energized, and are scheduled inside the maintenance window.

How is this different from sending the equipment to the workshop?

Preventive maintenance holds the condition of the installed machine and keeps it from degrading. Workshop work is for when the diagnosis calls for a major overhaul (rewinding, VPI, balancing), which needs infrastructure that does not exist in a plant.

How often should it be scheduled?

It depends on the severity of the environment and the criticality of the asset. A motor in a clean environment under steady load tolerates long intervals; one in dust, moisture or severe load cycling needs much shorter ones.
