The eleven stages a traction motor goes through from the moment it enters the workshop until it leaves crated, with the department accountable for each one. It is the map that orders the procedures already published.

Until now the D31 subject had well documented loose pieces and no map: pinion fitting explained one operation, the interpole improvement explained one failure mode, and the full sequence was nowhere. This work is the index the others hang from: pinion fitting happens at stage 8, the interpole improvement at stage 6, and the control of nonconforming outputs is what happens when any of the eleven does not comply.
What the publication brings:
- The eleven stages in order, with what happens at each one.
- The department accountable for each stage, and why whoever verifies is not whoever repaired.
- The deviation control flow, drawn rather than photographed: it can be read with a screen reader, searched and quoted.
- The difference between a nonconforming output and a customer nonconformity, which is not about when it is detected but about what is owed to the client.
The chart already existed as a poster. A poster is read standing in front of a workshop wall; the published work is read on a phone, searched by word and linked from any procedure. The two say the same thing and neither replaces the other.
