Truck Energy will be at InnoTrans 2026, in Berlin

From 22 to 25 September, Christian Mena San Juan attends the world's largest transport technology trade fair, in Berlin. Four days to see up close what is coming in traction and in diagnostics.

InnoTrans is the international trade fair for transport technology, where the world's rail industry shows what is coming. It is held every two years at the Berlin exhibition grounds, and the 2026 edition runs from 22 to 25 September. This is the one that marks thirty years.

The scale explains the trip. The previous edition brought together 2,946 exhibitors from 59 countries and 169,214 visitors from 128, spread across the 42 halls of the grounds. Outside there are 3,500 metres of track where rolling stock is shown at full size instead of in a catalogue.

What will be looked at:

  • Traction. Motors, generators and propulsion systems, the equipment that comes into the Coronel workshop every week.
  • Diagnostics and condition monitoring. What a machine is measured with while it works, which is the core of Confiabilidad 360°.
  • Workshop. Machines, tools and processes from the workshops doing this same work in other countries.
  • Manufacturers and operators. Meeting face to face the people who build what today arrives through a catalogue, and talking with those facing the same failures on other tracks.

Truck Energy repairs traction motors in Coronel for operations that cannot stop. What gets decided in a workshop in Biobío depends on what exists in the world: what equipment is measured with, what is being manufactured, what became standard somewhere else while here it was still being done the way it has always been done. Going to see it costs less than finding out late.

Christian Mena San Juan, general manager of Truck Energy, will be at the grounds all four days. Anyone from the industry who will be in Berlin on those dates and wants to talk is better off arranging it beforehand: with the diary set, half an hour in a meeting is worth more than passing each other in an aisle.
