In-house training on interpreting ISO 9001:2015
Truck Energy has set up an advanced course on interpreting the standard and on continual improvement, for the people who run its processes. Eight hours, two sessions and a certificate, at the Coronel workshop.
Truck Energy's management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. A certification, however, stands or falls on how well the people doing the work understand what the standard requires and why. So the company has set up an advanced course on interpreting the standard and on continual improvement for its process leaders.
The difference between being certified and working to a standard is who reads the standard. A quality system that only the Quality department knows turns into paperwork for the audit; one that managers and supervisors know changes how decisions get made on the shop floor, which is where they actually get made.
What the two sessions cover:
- The requirements of the standard in depth, applied to Truck Energy's own processes rather than to a textbook case.
- Identifying improvement opportunities in the current processes and where operational efficiency is being lost.
- Quality seen as a strategic decision, focused on client satisfaction.
- Continual improvement as daily practice rather than as a chapter of the manual.
The format:
- Eight hours, split across two sessions.
- In person, at Truck Energy's premises in Coronel.
- Aimed at process leaders, managers, supervisors and anyone working with quality management.
- With a certificate of attendance on completion.
It is the same idea that holds up Truck Energízate and La Biblioteca: knowledge that is not passed on is not an asset of the company, it is an asset of the person who has it.
